Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical technique used to create the look of hair follicles by tattooing tiny micro dots onto the scalp. We use a black ink that we dilute to several different shades of grey. The shade we use on our patients is dependent on skin tone and hair color.

SMP can help to add density to thinning hair, or completely fill the scalp with natural looking hair follicles to give a freshly shaved-head look. SMP can also be used to cover up any scars on the scalp from childhood injury or previous hair transplant surgery.

This treatment is a fantastic option for a patient that is not quite ready for a transplant yet. A hair transplant can still be performed even after having SMP.
